Training weekend
Eleven members of Lytham St Annes RRC headed off to the Lake District for the weekend with a return to Grasmere YHA for their latest biannual training weekend and 2 days of hard activity.

The weekend’s training included a short run before dinner on Friday.  Saturday started with an early morning pre-breakfast run, followed by a 6.7 mile late morning run across Loughrigg Terrace with spectacular views of Grasmere and Rydal lakes and the surrounding hills then back along the lakeside.

Sunday started again with the pre-breakfast run followed by a mid-morning undulating run again taking in Loughrigg Terrace and a full loop around Loughrigg Fell covering 10 miles and over 1200 feet of hill climbs.

Sunday lunch time was a final get together at YHA hostel for lunch before heading back to the real world.  The weather was very kind and everyone enjoyed the weekend and are looking forward to the next trip which is planned autumn 2016.
